PATERNO ESPN the other night

Post by noname »

JoePa was on espn the other night. He stated that he wants to see someone from the current staff get the head coaching job. Does anyone want to bet that he means his son? If that happens what a bigger joke that place will become more than it is now. They are getting all these so called recruits but makes no difference unless a coaching change is made. Every year they get all these so called recruits and what 1 winning season the last 5 years? Penn State SHOULD NEVER I MEAN NEVER go below .500. They have had 4 losing seasons 4 out of the last 5 years. Even if you bleed blue and white it must be tough to be a PEnn STate fan right now. I really think it is a shame and the few years they have gotten these so called Great recruits in and has not made one difference. WHat a shame this program has gone donw hill the last few years. I think you need to look one place to find out why.

The last two classes have been very good. The years where they weren't real good, those classes weren't anything extraordinary.

Everyone in the system that wants someone to take over wants to see Tom Bradley from the things I've read. Jay won't get it...I'd bet on that.

Most of our problems have stemmed from Jay Paterno. He used to be the recruiting director and the biggest names he brought in was Mills. Since they canned him from that job, now we are getting the high time recruits. I'm as sick as anyone waiting for them to be over .500 again but i blame Jay more than Joe. The recruits stepped up last year and with 3 big time receivers on the way, along with a new quarterback, HOPEFULLY things start to turn around this year. I think this is the first year that all Jay's recruits are all graduated. I dont think he can call plays either and he shouldnt have a hand in that aspect at all. that should all be left to Hall and Joe.

Is it worse to be expected at 4-7, and go 4-7, or to be expected to at least win your conference, if not the national title, and completely fall flat on your face?

Those 3 bigtime receivers coming in will be under the tutelage of .......Mike McQueary.

Jumper...JoePa blames UVA assistant coach, Al Golden for many of PSUs recruiting problems in the past few years. He said under Golden the recruiting went down and he is to blame for that as well. It was in the Mirror this week.

Just wait a minute!!! PSU is the greatest Major D1 football program in America, there couldn't possibly be any problems recruiting there or anything else under college football's inventor and grand old man!!!!!!
