===============================================
A pair of former Johnstown Junior League most valuable players have been reunited on the University of New Orleans baseball team's coaching staff.
First-year New Orleans head coach Tom Walter, a Greater Johnstown High School graduate, recently named Ross Kott, another Johnstown grad, as an assistant coach.
Walter earned the Junior League MVP honor while playing for manager Dee Dee Osborne's Pepsi-Cola team in 1988. Kott is a two-time JJL MVP winning in 1994 and 1995 with Sani-Dairy.
"This is a great opportunity, especially considering that Tom was a person I looked up to in the old Johnstown Junior League," Kott said. "I tried to emulate him."
