Sorry I didn't see this post when it was hot topic. But let me clear up this situation for everyone. Walt is divorced from his first wife. They were together until last year. During the separation and before the divorce was final, Walt was showing up at University functions with his girlfriend. Many of the higher-ups thought this was a bad idea to have the girlfriend there when entertaining recruits.

Squash the cheerleading coach rumor. That rumor is about 17 years too late. You would be correct had you said that former Pitt coach and current ESPN analyst Mike Gottfried had relations with the cheering coach. I am not sure if he was married at the time or not. If you have ever seen Pitt's cheering coach, you would understand the attraction.

Reading is fundamental. NO ONE said anything about Harris and a cheerleader. It was the coach or advisor we were talking about. You wouldn't see Paterno fooling around with a cheerleader or advisor. If so, he might get arrested for assault with a dead weapon.
