The Near Future of the Tyrone Golden Eagles

Former Junior Altoona High Quarterback/ Reciever Shane Barr, cousin of current Golden Eagle Reciever, Josh Crabtree, moved to Tyrone in mid December how do you believe this will effect Tyrones game plan and where will they put him, QB or WR?

Also with Coach John Franco possibly moving to Tyrone and bringing his son, a current Freshman at BG to Tyrone to play football. Many say his son is the "Chosen One" and is supposed to have the potential to become this amazing star.

With all the hype surrounding former Altoona Quarterback/ Reciever and now Tyrone new recruit, Shane Barr, and with the possibly of John Franco adding his son into the mix of things in the next few years, should everyone believe the hype? Or will it not be as great as it is all cracked up to be?

Barr is not a recruit. He is a good athlete though. He'll play reciever with Brockett. Wilson is still the best athlete in Blair County returning(yeah I know you Kleinfelter fans) and will be the QB for his 3rd year as a starter. And as far as Johnny goes, ask Charlie Burch how good he is; I think he rang up like 300 yds on B-A, but he's better on defense so figure it out; more frustration in Blue Devil Land!

I was at the Keith Jr. High vs. BG game, this past fall and I watched a decent Rams team stomp the Marauders and Franco didn't do a thing against the Rams. And even though he may have dominated the BA Jr. High he is not going to be the chosen one that everyone thinks he will be.

He doesn't need to be yet. Mingle, Wilson, and Gillman will do fine.

Any truth to the rumor that Franco is going to BG and Georgiana is stepping down for him?

Franco wants to coach his son, but doesn't really want Johnny to go to Tyrone. I can't blame mom and dad for that decision.

Who will take over at Tyrone?
