WHO'S THE MAN?

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

Going by all major sports, which college is collectively the awesomest? Who's the man? My guess is Texas, and that makes me cringe. Is Texas the best sports college in America?

How do you quantify the best? How many sports do you take into account? Which ones?

That is a tough call?

USC, U of Mich, Ohio State, Florida State, Miami?

Tough one.

if you look at basketball and football (two major college sports) i'd go with louisville their are up there in both sports almost every year. michigan also does well in both. I also agree that the longhorns are towards the top. It's hard to find a college that isn't specialized in one sport and have a broad range of successful programs.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Didn't Texas just win the college world series? Their basketball team is real good now, and their football team is like 12-1 every year. Michigan's basketball team is terrible!

If you are counting all sports, then I believe Stanford is the team. They seem to do well in just about everything. If you are just counting the major sports I'd say it's Texas as well.
