Emmitt Smith retires
Emmitt Smith has offically retired. Most sports reporters do not think he is the best ever as many say players like Brown, Peyton and Sanders are better. I have to agree with this even though Smith holds the rushing title he also played on a very good team which made it easier to rack up yards. I would agree he is probably about 4th all time. What does everyone else think?

I agree Junglejuice, except I would place one more guy ahead of Smith. That would be OJ Simpson. Putting his hideous personal life aside, he was a great running back on some bad teams. His season of rushing for 2003 yards in 14 games to me ranks as the greatest single season of all time by a running back. Emmitt Smith is a class act and a great RB, but no better than 5th in my opinion.
