I remember someone using a good term one time back on the LH Sports board: "Selective Reading". LionPride again takes what he wants from my posts, makes it fit how he thinks I am, and throws it back at me. Did I ever tell you that school prayer or prayer at an event is a bad thing? Or did I say that churches (who you know mostly favor Bush) tell people to "keep at it cause they're on the run", whatever that means. I'm not a Republican, nor do I feel threatened by a Republican president changing every law in the land to fit his own interest. I guess that means I'm on my heels. Did I tell you I was a homosexual? Or did I use that term as one of the 4 or 5 terms Republicans commonly use to label non-Republicans? Selective reading. At least southpaw can keep up!

You should practice what you preach. Read my post again. Maybe my words inaccurately said you don't believe in prayer in schools, etc., but it was meant in general terms. I'll be more careful next time so your closed mind can comprehend. But never once did I say you were gay.

You're the one that labelled all Republicans that way. That to me is selective reading. You're as quilty as the next person.

Am I? Or do I have to deal with Republicans every day, and they definitely all think alike. There's a reason why there's stereotypes. Stereotypes are not the problem. The problem is in most people not being able to see that not all of those being stereotyped are the same as the rest. And I'm closed minded? How can you, a conservative Republican, label a LIBERAL close-minded? I know exactly what you're talking about with your little Republican beliefs. I just don't agree with them because they don't make any sense.

You need to understand something. You guys are the same kind of people who think that when someone says "I dont think we should be Iraq" that that translates to "I hope all our troops get killed". That is not the case. Me hinting that I think the church, which is very conservative and therefore very much leaned Republican, is full of baloney and takes full advantage of manipulating very easily manipulated people, does not mean that I don't believe in God and worship the devil.

If we can't label or stereotype you (TAE) then how can you label or stereotype us (LP and SP) w/ our "little Repbulican beliefs"? Sounds hypocrital to me.

I'll say it to you TAE and to the rest of the liberal leaners on here AGAIN. What would you do about Iraq and what are your postitions on any issue. I guess liberals are all talk and no action, right?

lionpride has definatly dodged the homosexual questions that have backed him into a corner. definatly have to agree with once a runner. how can southpaw make the comment that its "its a choice period, there is nothing out there nor will there be in the futuer to prove otherwise." when you are the one that has no proof. all of once a runner's arguments have been logical and unflawed, and that is more than any of the arguments you are making. also, once a runner has scientific studies on his side, but of course we dont like scientific studies that arent talked about on fox news...

The Yankee fan makes his weekly appearance! Scientific studies? Where? There are NO VALID scientific studies that back runner's position. None now, nor will there ever be. I don't recall runner citing any research on here. Just a few tidbits from the NY times maybe that refer to a study. And ya I believe anything the NY times prints. lol.

How have I dodged this issue? I think I have made my views very clear on here. Homosexuality is a choice. Need I say more to convince you of my position?

Do I have proof? Nope. But neither do you on the opposite side of the spectrum. I simply have my beliefs in everything I've been taught, and you have your beliefs on what your college professors have said.

Zoo tempts gay penguins to go straight

A German zoo has imported four female penguins from Sweden in an effort to tempt its gay penguins to go straight.

The four Swedish females were dispatched to the Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen after it was found that three of the zoo's five penguin pairs were homosexual.

Keepers at the zoo ordered DNA tests to be carried out on the penguins after they had been mating for years without producing any chicks.

It was only then they realised that six of the birds were living in homosexual partnerships.

Director Heike Kueck said that the zoo hoped to see some baby penguins in the coming months.

She said that the birds had been mating for years and one couple even adopted a stone that they protected like an egg.

That might be the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. I've said this before....I've been around animals all my life thousands of them and have never witnessed animals being "homosexual"! This notion is totally absurd.
