Re: Joke of an MVP
Going on something Wildcat said, a lot of people knew Manning was deadmeat against the Patriots for the same reason as the Gators.

Now that the playoffs are finished, would Manning still be the MVP if they gave the award away tomorrow? I am not sure that it wouldn't go to Brady or Owens.
I think it definitely takes away from Manning's season that he chokes so much in the playoffs. Other QB's that had great seasons (Warner in 99, Young in 96, Marino in 84) at least made the Super Bowl, if not won it.

The thing is, it's a REGULAR SEASON award.. You cant say Peyton did it with all those weapons and in the same breath said McNabb deserved it.. Keep in mind McNabb won ALL of those reg season games WITH Owens.
(and PS. Westbrook isnt too bad either)
And yes the Colts lost in the playoffs, but did the Eagles play the Patriots in the second round? I dont think so.. If they would have, they'da lost. The Eagles and Colts lost to the same team in the playoffs, McNabb just lucked out in being in a weaker conference.
I really really dont like the Manning brothers, but you gotta give credit where it's due, and he was the MVP of the Regular Season.

Manning was the MVP, and he deserved it. To break two records that nobody thought would fall is definately an accomplishment. Besides, maybe his team isn't ready to beat the Patriots yet, but then, who in the past 3 or 4 years has been able to consistently beat the Patriots? The Colts are not even a contender without Peyton Manning leading the team, and once they get a decent defense going, they will be downright scary.
Michael Vick for MVP? Now that's a joke! The Eagles beat the Falcons by forcing the QB to throw the ball! Hello! The QB is supposed to be able to throw the ball well, and yet Vick cannot win by throwing the ball because he cannot throw worth a darn! The Falcons should have made him a wide out and let somebody who can throw the ball be QB, rather than this pretender.

Saying Vick is a pretender shows complete ignorance. Yes, he played poorly against the Eagles, but he was pretty impressive the week before against the Rams. Where would the Falcons be without him?
On the other hand, I think there are other QBs who could win with James, Harrison, Wayne, Stokley and the Colts line.
