I'm not going to take anything away from the NS wrestlers. When it came down to it they won on the mat. I think everyone knew that the district duels would come down to the two teams that were in the finals. But somewhere in one of the posts someone said about Ridge's lineup and that it doesnt matter who quit or was hurt cause NS still got the job done on the mat. It seems to me though that when NBC beat Bedford there were more than a couple posts claiming that NBC wouldnt have won if Bedford didnt have guys out. Yeah wrestling is won on the mat, but with the original line-ups I think both matches would have had different outcomes.

However, that is the unfortunate thing about athletics: people get hurt, people quit, etc. But somehow you have to overcome those things.

i read the post about deputy being sick before the n.b. match. i don't know what he was suffering from[ i hope he is better for districts] but i couldn't help but to think about the n.s. kids puking before they got on the bus to go to district duels, [they even stopped the bus on the way down to let people get off and puke] and then when they got there kids were puking before, during and after their matches most of the team had the flu but they wrestled for pride and won the match on the mat this post is not meant to be disrespectful to anyone or to be arrogant ,only to show the heart of those farm boys from boswell. i think lion-line that is what your talking about. teammates who will fight through adversity so they will not let their fellow teammates, their school or their fans down. years ago ridge wrestlers had that pride. i don't why they don't have it now. you guys have been so successful with your jr. high program. why hasn't that carried over to the varsity.

You are right Wrasslerfan. Hearing that about the NS boys makes you want to pull for them to do well. I have to say it didn't really suprise me to hear it though. NS has always had some tough kids and it shows on the mat.

North Star has always had outstanding wrestlers, but what sticks out in my mind is the closeness of their team and the support they give each other on and off the mat. They work as a team and it definately shows. Good luck in Hershey guys !
