Soooo its finally Signing Day.....

Post by Recruiting Guru »

As our area's best football players get ready for tomarrow's big day, and sign letters of intent to furher their football careers at the next level, their are still a few players that have the big question mark in the "College" category. I am going to speculate for some, and confirm for others what colleges will be gettin what players.

Troy Harris: Troy had scholarship offers from New Hamshire, Maine, James Madison, Richmond, and every PSAC school. For a while, (and it still may be going on). Akron and Kent state were both heavily debating whether or not to offer him a scholarship, I think a maine concern was his speed in the open field. Never the less, I dont think either D-1a school decided to offer, and I believe when the papers role in, Troy will be signing with the Maine Black Bears

Larod Stephens: It is no mystery one of the best players in Area History was commited to the University of Pittsburgh. But after a coaching change, there was a lot of concern to whether or not Larod would still attend Pitt. His coach got back on the phones and opened up a couple of back up plans. One being the University of Toledo, where I heard Larod took an Official Visit, and was hosted by Andrew Hawkins (another area player). In the end Larod felt comfortable with Coach Wanny, and tommarrow he plans on remaining a Pitt Panther.

Jose Cruz: Jose committed to UNC way back in the summer time, but as the season progressed, He started Second guessing his decision. He then, like Larod, started courting other Schools (Rivals listed Toledo, and Akron). I believe he did visit both schools, and recently he De-committed from UNC and is down to Toledo and Akron. I believe tomarrow,we will see Jose go from a Tarheel to an Akron Zip.

Shawn Lewis: Shawn was being heavily recruited by the University of Akron and Kent state as well. Kent state was the first school to pull the trigger, and shawn immediatly excepted the offer. He felt comfortable with the university and the football program being close to home, and his grandfather had played exactly 50 years ago for Kent. After shawn committed, there were rumors sayin that Akron tried very had to get shawn to change his miond about where hed be playing his college ball, but he stuck by his word. Tomarrow shawn will be signing as a Kent State Golden Flash.

Michael Turkovich: Turk, one of the best offensive lineman in the country, with good reason had offers from the nations top programs.(LSU, Notre Dame, Boston College, WVU, ect.) Mike, who is an excellent student, felt there was somthing special happening with Notre Dame that he wanted to be apart of. With the new coaches and a fresh start. Tomarrow big Turk will fufill a child hood dream, and sign a full ride with the Notre Dame fighting Irish

Ben Maderia: Have heard nothing, Good luck.

Josh Miller: Josh, was heavily overlooked because of his lack of size at the LB spot. But what Miller doesn't have in size he makes up with speed, quickness, and an incredible mean streak. I heard that early on Before the Coaching change, the University of Pittsburgh was set to offer him a scholarship, and send him to Forbes with teammate Larod Stephens, also Temple and Villanova both asked Josh Miller to take Official Visits, but he was not interested. In the end I think Josh will sign with Indiana(PA) Tomarrow. (That should make some of u guys pretty happy)

I wish all of our guys good luck in their Careers, and please anyone with extra information on these guys, or other Area Prospects (D-1a, D-1aa, D-2, or D-3) feel free to post

That's is a possibility, but he hasn't committed to anyone yet.
