An interesting sidelight to all the upsets that have taken place so far: In the Women's Tournament, 4th seeded PSU fell last night to 13th seed Liberty. At the customary post-game press conference, PSU coach Rene Portland was asked why she thought Liberty had bested her Lady Lions. Realizing that Liberty was a christian university, she replied, " I think they recruit".

Pitt lost in the first round too, to Pacific, and really, that's all that matters in the end as far as basketball season. Kind of like the Minnesota Vikings.

Last year they had a better regular season record at 9-7, but didn't get in the playoffs. This year they did at 8-8, and made it to the second round. Which one do you think is the better season?
