Re: Dapper Dan Classic
Because they take AAA first, and if there's no senior at that weight in AAA in the top 2, then the AA kid gets considered. It'll be interesting next year if a senior at 140- wins AAA. See if they bend the rules for Garrett Scott, or if they leave out the best wrestler in the nation.

Wow, you guys aren't giving the PA boys much credit. PA still leads the series like 15 to 11. I know that it is getting harder and harder for PA to win, but give the boys a chance. Nobody thought that Tom Tomeo would beat Jeff McGinness or Kolat put a blemish on his record. I know 1999 Erick Frick pinned a 5xstate champ with a record of like 234-3 in 30 seconds. I think we have a pretty good line-up. Don't be counting the PA boys out.

Re: Dapper Dan Classic
Actually Reiss and Tate met once 2 years ago in the finals of the KOM tourney and Reiss won in ot 8-6. Now Terry has gotten alot better since and has beaten a couple kids that has beaten Reiss but that doesn't make for a good comparison. That's why I'd rather see a AA vs AAA challenge of the Champions like they used to have. It would draw more interest statewide.
BTW- you had a point about PA wrestling, the state of Ohio just sent their best to Pittsburgh this past week to wrestle a WPIAL team and our d-7 beat Ohio 48-17. I hope PA does win more than 2 or 3 matches, but I'm not holding my breath, this is by far the best team, team USA has had in a while.

Re: Dapper Dan Classic
There is no set rule for chosing the Dapper Dan wrestlers. If a AA wrestler has won more state championships than the first and second place AAA wrestler, he will represent PA. Even if Garrett loses, he'll go to the Dapper Dan. They would probably take two as they did this year with Pataky and Rappo, they just move weight classes. They can do that because they give you a lot of weight at this tournament, and you weigh in behind closed doors. Even in the event that Scott would lose or a AAA senior would win 140, Garrett would represent PA.

Re: Dapper Dan Classic
USA 39 PA 6
Well Pa only won 2 like I thought, but they weren't the 2 I thought. Brad Pataky of Clearfield won 3-1 over the kid from Florida and HWT Reiss knocked off McCoy 3-2. Donnie Jones got majored, Fisk wrestled Nickerson much closer than I thought(2-1), and Sipes did a little better with Rosholt than I thought as well(lost 10-2). Eleven of the 14 matches were good close matches
