Science kicks a field goal
Re: Science kicks a field goal
Yes, something improbable can happen. A person in a coma for many years, and given little hope for recovery, can wake up some day and be a normal person. BUT in evolution, TOO MANY improbable things had to happen for man to evolve from one celled organisms. Therefore in the case of evolution (as my world famous statistician has said) chances are nil that man evolved as scientists have speculated. The laws of probability do stand for something. You can't scoff at them. After all, isn't math the purest science?....In Genesis 1:26 we read that man was made "in God's image, after his likeness". What does that mean? Well, if man looks like the rest of us, and God made us in his image, then God must look like man. Can we assume this? I think so. We were not made like PART of God, were we?

In Genesis 3:16 it says, "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." Fun!
Is there some information your statistician may not have had? Such as the existence of God? Maybe he helped evolution along. Also, what does your statistician have to say about the odds of there being God. If the odds aren't too bad, why aren't there more then one?

Ok, then what made God? How did he come about as being always there? If God existed forever and for always, then what made him? Maybe we did, in our minds.

Oh, life isn't pre-determined? What about that big book with all the names in it?

God is the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. NO ONE had to make him. He always existed.... Since there are NO natural laws governing the existance of GOD, there is NO way for statisticians to calculate the possibility that God exists.... Maybe if EVE had not played around with that apple, childbirth would be a breeze. After all, she was told to stay away. She disobeyed, so she and womankind, were punished.

What's wrong with my last sentence? What was I thinking? I was reading the Bible. The source of "birth pain" is the sin involving the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was part of the punishment dealt out to Eve (and every woman thereafter) for disobeying God's instruction about eating from the tree. This is simply laid out in the Bible. NO mystery here. Written in black and white. NO interpreter needed.
