Proposing a Nate Morris memorial scholarship

Post by General Comment »

As many of you know, we recently suffered the loss of Nate Morris. I remember watching him wrestle and he was tough and never gave any effort under 100%. This allowed him to excel to the top and become a state champion. He was dedicated and worked hard.

As an act of remembrance, a memorial scholarship could be put in place to commemorate his life and accomplishments. I think he honestly deserves it.

this will probably make some of you mad, but its my opinion and im entitlted to it...anyway...does nate deserve a memorial of some kind?...YES, should it be a bleachercoaches affiliated scholarship? not in my opinion, and heres why....1) we already have a scholarship in place and its hard enough getting contributions for that, having 2 scholarships would just be shortting people out. and 2) i will not know nates accomplishments in life, he was an outstanding athelete and from what i knew of him, he could have been a role model to us all, however, the bleachercoaches general area is bedford county...thats the main source of "revenue" if you will...and while im sure people knew his name by reading it in the paper or something, how much of an impact did he have on peoples lives here....wade grimes on the other hand had an impact on most of the posters on this site.

sorry if that offends anyone.

well gunner i knew nate from talking to him in the tournaments in wrestling he was an outstanding athlete, student, but more importantly a great person at least in my eyes! it is unfortuanate for his loss of life and i think a memorial is a def yes, a scholarship in his name yes, on bleacher coaches i don't know maybe in the laurel highlands part but i'm still saying no! maybe a scholarship just for sports with out academics, i don't know but some other site def in laural highlands and in his school central cambria they should definetley have some sort of award or something! but this is my opinion on the matter!

rip nate!!!
