Here's one strong reason never to become Catholic: for everything they preach in that mass, those people pass around a collection plate on GOOD FRIDAY. What does that tell you?

The whole thing about the Catholic church crying about being in financial trouble, and having to combine parishes and can't afford to fix churches, that is such a line of baloney that it cannot even be put into words. The Vatican has money in so many places that not even economists working there have any clue as to where all the money is stored and what all the Vatican is tied into. The art pieces alone are worth millions and millions and millions of dollars. NEVER listen to them telling you they don't have the money to help fix the cracks in the wall of the church, and that the money has to come from the diocese. WRONG! It is seriously unbelievably pathetic how much money the Vatican has, and how many businesses worldwide they have their hand in. Do the resource.

And for being being in the Hitler Youth, would I have a choice? I'd of believed everything they said, just like Ratzinger had to. I'm not saying the guy is a Nazi. I'm saying that appointing a former Hitler Youth member is POOR TASTE whenever there's accusations that the WW2 Pope was in Hitler's pocket. If we are trying to bridge gaps with people, act like it. Actions speak louder than words.

I see it more as letting go of old hatreds, rather than slapping people in the face. As a student of Nazi Germany and WWII for the last 6yrs, I could not hold any child's involvement in the Youth against him unless it is documented that the child did infact commit attrocities willingly. I guess people will forever make a scene when they do not get their way.

Look at Dennis Byrd and Trent Lott, they are supposedly both completely changed man, yet everyone who has a grudge either way never has a problem with bringing up their previous lives whenever it suits their purpose.

The difference between Robert "KKK" Byrd and Pope Benedict XVI is that Byrd willfully participated in a racist organization. But he's a liberal, so that's overlooked.

It took you 6 years of "educaion about WW2 and Nazi Germany" to come to that conclusion? And where was this 6 year study conducted, Coveman, that you only focused on WW2 and Nazi Germany?

Once again, I didn't say the guy had Nazi ideas in his head. My argument continues to be that it is poor taste, whether willing or unwilling in the Hitler Youth, to elect that man to be POPE.

And as I already stated, which you apparently ignored, I'll type it again for all my peeps out there: When the craphit the fan, what did the elders do? They wanted to be passive and believe the Whites, even after decades worth of evidence where White people lied to them. The younger warriors, however, begged the elders in many many many cases to stand up and fight, and to stop listening to the lies. Where are the Indians right now, Moldo?

Oldest does NOT mean wisest. And in 90% of the cases it means STUBBORN-NESS. That is not wisdom.
