PA used to be considered one of the best football states in the country. Now, it is hardly talked about. Suprising how the lack of at least one good college in your state can ruin your rep.

Guess when they talked about Pa being one of the best football states in the country, they were referring to high school football, you know, like the hotbed of recruiting. Hard to say that about college teams. Just checked PSU's football roster from last year, and out of 103 players listed, 51 were NOT from Pennsylvania. Can't blame PA for that!!!

This just shows the direction of the program and nobody respects them anymore like in the past!! They always had people drafted if they were 10-1 or 6-5 so this should tell all you blue/white faithful something!! The program is going down quickly!

the fact that psu had no players drafted this season tells me that they were a really young team last year. the few senior starters from last season were a big disappointment over the course of the season.

although, since heisman trophy winners do not get drafted....jason white for example, i do not put much credence into how the draft reflects a football player's college career or the team for which he played.

the program was down. the resurrection starts in 2005.

That 7 year span includes the 98 and 99 teams that were good. The 99 team was 1st in the nation for a while even....

Nice to see WVU have their first 1st round defensive player in the last 15 years get drafted this week. Way to go EEEEERS!!! I think the last one to go in round one before Jones was in like 91. Impressive show of playas from Motown there....

How about Penn State's 2003 draft class? They had six taken in the first 2 rounds. However, what happened to those "stars". None of them are doing jack squat in the NFL. Penn State led the way with five players included in ESPN's list of top draft busts of all time. There was an article on ESPN.com last week about the best and worst teams at preparing players for the draft and the NFL. Of course, Penn State was among the five worst. Maybe NFL teams are finally wising up and realizing that the Nits do not develop NFL players.
