well lets break it down...first word: "red"..obviously something is the color red. now the second word : "neck" apparently this means a persons neck...therfore the term redneck literally means red neck....i guess they dont teach that in FBLA or electricty or whatever the heck banners yall have in yalls gym

quite humorous there gunner...however i was refering to why is it "hickish" people are refered to as "rednecks"? Is there a history involved and where did it come from?

probably because civilized people spent the day indoors doing stuff whereas the hickish people were working out doors getting sunburned on thier necks....hence the term rednecks
