Re: Save Your Soul
I don't have a problem with the organ either. It's the list, which I threw away, of about 15-20 gold plated this and that, and wood carvings to make the church more ornate that I refuse to help pay for. This is a relatively new building, so it's not a structural thing. It's to beautify the church, which to me is the least of concerns the church should have. Ask the Vatican for some of the leftovers they have lying around in storage if that's what you think the church needs.
Now if they asked me to donate to help feed a family in the church who took out a loan to pay for these things and couldn't afford to feed their children anymore, I might think about it.

Sorry, junior, finals be over. Yes, I dominated them like you'd expect.

Re: Save Your Soul
The title of this topic is "Save your soul". Here are the Five Steps to Heaven, as presented by the United Methodists.
Step 1. Acknowledge that Y-O-U have sinned.
"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
Step 2. Realize there is a PENALTY for your sin.
"For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23a
Step 3. Acknowledge that Christ PAID the penalty of sin for Y-O-U.
But GOD commandeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Step 4. Know that Christ wants to give you the FREE GIFT of eternal life
in heaven. "But the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
Step 5. Believe in Christ and ASK HIM to be your personal Savior and Lord of your life. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED." Romans 10:13
Yes, brothers and sisters, I too am a sinner. It is a daily battle to try to do and be what Christ would have us do and be. I would rather be in constant battle against Satan and know I can be saved if I stick to the plan, than to deny God and have no hope at all.
