Everett was upset by FM 5-4 last night. It was a great effort by all. The seniors stepped up and finally played at their potential for FM.

After reading the article in the Bedford Gazette about this game, how Banner Mann dominated this game and Everett just handed the game to Fannett-Metal i felt the readers of the Gazette were dealt a slighted point of view. Not taking anything away from the game that Mann pitched,(he threw very well) he was the second best pitcher on the field in that game. F-M's pitcher came in the fifth and shut the explosive Warrior offense down. Striking out 8 of the final 9 outs to end the game. Not to mention there was no ball that left the infield after he came into the game. That is dominating. The only blemish was an unearned run in the 7th. Their pitcher made up for that in the bottom of the frame scoring from second on a routine groundball in the infield. So to all of the readers of the Bedord Gazette, i apologize for these inconsistencies. Congrats to both teams on a well played game. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. This is ace reporter Flick Shagwell signing off......
