Hedrick had the guys play hard in all of the games... He would tell them not to get over confident before it was over- don't give us the oh he had a good team and they didn't have to prepare for some teams...

One exeption Hyndman maybe...

He is a great guy, I will certainly miss him and I wish him the best of luck

Hey Titan: did it every occur to you that some of us actually get out once in a while and might even read papers and watch Pittsburgh TV? I think we realize what a challenge lies ahead.

Question, O wise One: is John Miller Sean Millers's dad, former child hoops whiz kid and Pitt player? If so, what's Sean doing now. I think I knew, but out here in the sticks we get forgetful.

fog,

I think I know a little bit about hs basketball and coaching myself...Nonetheless, John Miller invented basketball, at least as far as western PA basketball goes. He is definitely the most influential and knowledgeable coach in western PA over the past 25 years in terms of western PA basketball and AAU basketball and basketball camps and all aspects of coaching...And Hedrick is following John Miller. Just think about that for a minute and let it sink in. This ain't Everett or Hyndman or Fannett-Metal or Forbes Road we're talking about my friend.

John Miller is indeed Sean's dad. Sean is the head men's basketball coach at Xavier in Cincy. Don't be surprised to see daddy join son on staff at Xavier at some point.

Former NC State star Archie Miller (now an NC State asst. coach) is also John Miller's son.

WOw what a move from Dist 5 AA basketball to a top notch program. I wish Coach Hedrick the best. He will work hard and be a good coach for that program.

Glad to hear a local guy is getting a chance.I know district 5 is smaller than the wpial but, he will have more to choose from(player wise) at blackhawk. Give the guy a chance wpial titan we all know pittsburgh is bigger than here.Anyway good luck and prove the doubters wrong!

I was going to apply for a job once at IBM, but then I heard there was someone from the Pittsburgh area applying, so I just gave up. After all, I'm from D5 and would never amount to anything, especially when compared with someone from D7. What was I thinking trying to make something of myself?
