800 runner

Post by MrPood »

How well will Podlesnik from Meyersdale do at states? I've never heard of him. He has the best 800 time around here. Medal maybe?

Well Mr pood he will have his hands full as this a very deep field of quality 800 runners.More than 10 under the 2 minute mark. Hope the Meyersdale man does well though.Realistically he'll need to be around 1:58 or below to medal.Best of luck to him!

I don't care how he does...He's run 1:58 for a soph and that's pretty darn good.

Bellwood had a FROSH this year run 1:59, pretty fast.

I believe this is his first year running track and could of qualified for states in the 400 but him and his coach decided to save it for the open 8 and get a gold. His chances were better at that than beating D'Con.

Here is a better look of the field for the aa boys 800. The top 2 seeds at 1:55 and change,3 thru 6 at 1:57 08 to 1:57 93.The 7 and 8 seeds are at 1:58 33 and1:58 81 and 9 to 16 are in the 1:59 range. Should be quite a race.

Well I guess it's going to be a good race then. I would like to see him get in the top 5. I heard he loves to compete against the best.

He got 7th place with a time of 1:57.99. Pretty impressive for a sophmore.

The 800 was a great race. Mike got behind early and had to run the outside the whole race. Its tough to make up ground if ya dont get the inside. I think with 2 years of experiance he will get 1st his senior year.
