What does the westpac have to offer?
Who do u think will power house over the westpac? I have to say that the Mustangs! They have one of the most diverse teams in the area. :o

I agree that Portage should be the top team going into next season. I saw them in the playoffs against Blairsville and was very impressed with their offense. I wasn't as impressed with their Defense but Blairsville had the most diverse offense that I saw last season and that could have been part of it.

who does portage play this year, shade, rockwood and vo tech
Re: west pac football in 2005
put portage in the lh and they are lucky to go 2-7
Re: west pac football in 2005
Portage is also one of the smallest schools in the area. they do only play 4 MAYBE 5 good teams in the west pac. but it's not their fault they're in it, it's location.
anyway, i think CV will have a tough team, maybe berlin, and windber
meyersdale, ferndale, township, north star, BV and shade may just be the same they are every year, though ferndale had one hell of a season last year going 6-3.
we'll see, season opens september 2nd.

I'm going to say that the two usual suspects, Portage and Windber, will be at the top of the WestPac conference. Berlin will be good, and I'm going to pick Meyersdale or Township as a sleeper. Of course, I really have no idea other than what they did last year, lol.

Portage as one of the 'smaller' teams? How, in terms of numbers or size? If numbers, every year their program shows at least 80 or 90 kids, of course, that's every able bodied male in town that they can stuff into a green and white uni. Overall school enrollment, possibly. I don't have the figures. Since they are "neighbors" to FH, all I can add is "GO 'Stangs!"

portage returns pretty much everyone, but it seems like every year they have a great team but just can't pull out a conference championship..so we'll see..i think Berlin and Windber will be the next two team to challenge portage at the top...i think berlin will be fine if they can replace most of there offenseive line...they still have very good skill position player. actually..u gotta start the season off with them at the top until someone can knock them off! Next i see Township(with Muir and Watkins),Valley(Turner) and Meyersdale as the next three....yes, meyersdale did go 0-9, but only lost 1 starter on both sides of the ball...i see atleast 3-4 wins comein there way this year....Ferndale, North Star and Shade at the bottom of this conference for the 05 season
but hey anything can happen......i think the westpac will be a lot tougher this comin season than last year
