Pitt's so bad they are thinking of dropping their recruiting department as a cost cutting measure and because it's completely ineffective. Pitt's so low every year on the recruiting list that I almost ask you guys every pre-season if they folded their football program. This goes back to when Genius Harris was seriously walking around campus looking for a quarterback. Remember that time? Oh, how great it is! Pitt will be 6-5.

There are lots of reasons why recruits would want to attend PSU and live in State College!

The press is very positive up here, all our recruits and players are not only outstanding athletes, but have the character of Eagle Scouts--You know, honest, trustworthy. I even know a few who earned their Eagle Scout Archery Badges last spring. We should be proud of young men like those 3!!!

We have the best coaching staff, and the best of everything, too...

For example, Galen Hall's just a great guy..He'd give you the shirt off your back, pay your child support, or even hook you up with some very nice upstanding gentlemen who graduated from PSU if you ever got in a bind and needed some quick cash, or just a new suit for the team banquet at the end of the year. I know one really nice gentleman who helped out Curtis Enis...Come here and I'll surely hook you up. We're so grateful to have guys like that in our program.

We never lose games, it is always the refs who cause us to lose. Our columnists never write anything negative about us and can make a 4 point total sound like an offensive explosion.

Come up here, the air is clean, and the trout fishing fine. Another BIG plus is that the ARCHERY HUNTING is just grand! It is all positive up here. Oh yeah, don't forget, the sky is blue and it is also white.

PS-Hey, Ancient Mariner, can you get me Don Bailey's address? I want to have him talk all that Ranger D1 material into considering PSU--I wanna send him a handwritten letter comparing Sidman to State "Coolege" because it's so "cool" to have a PSU degree, or at least attend there for 7 years or so. I heard Coach Bailey was a heckuva Linebacker back in the day as a CalU Bear...or was that CalU of PA? WE have to broaden our horizons and stop recruiting just the WPIAL...Mail is getting way too slow there. I had to overnight those 30 handwritten letters to Justin King before he committed.

Somebody just sent me 37 handwritten letters yesterday and told me that you're just jealous of all the success that I've had recruiting western PA.

I heard you play on the soccer team, but I'm not going to send you any handwritten letters because we're really working the NCAA rules committee to have safeties count for 6 points instead of 2 pts...That way, we can just concentrate on getting LBs to get us quick safeties, rather than worrying about the kicking game.
