By the way, why in the world did PSU schedule NJIT for a home contest this year? The New Jersey Institute of Technology is currently riding a 35 game losing streak, the longest losing streak in college basketball. Where did Eddie dig them up?

Maybe their coach is a PSU assistant and we are "doing them a courtesy".

Isn't it funny how Pitt is allowed to "extend a courtesy" to IUP but when penn State plays Temple, who are all PSU alums, that's terrible scheduling.

I'll give you Pitters one thing, IUP is a step up from GANNON.

I can't believe you wouldn't have knowledge of this!!! Wow...stop the presses!

I was only stating a fact that IUP's coach was an asst. at Pitt and Pitt did indeed schedule in part because of their relationship with him. Again I can't believe Mr. Message Board didn't know this.

Call it what you want..courtesy or bad scheduling. Defintely not a good O.O.C team to schedule on Pitt's part. I will admit that. Never denied it.

And yes I am sure PSU did a courtesy to Temple as well with all their alum on the football staff. What's the big deal?

There's no big deal, it's just hypocrisy that the Pitt fans defend this IUP crap and complain about PSU and Temple.

Wait, PSU has a basketball team? I thought they dropped that when the one Crispin transferred?

Pitt has 31 basketball games. ONE of them is a crime. PSU plays 12 football games. Playing Temple is a crime. BIG difference. Plus the Temple game is an ongoing series with a few breaks here and there. Pitt-IUP was a one shot deal. When you consistantly schedule the same team over and over, a team you slaughter annually, there is a problem.

How is playing Temple such a crime in football? Considering the fact that over the last 4 seasons they may have been the second best team in the state.

Very good point. One thing is for sure, of Pitt and Temple, at least Temple has beaten a MAC school in the past 5 years. If Pitt was in the MAC they'd go 3-9. Hey, we can only go by history.
