Haven't heard that but I don't doubt it's true. The MO for a stud like Roberts is Valley League after freshman year, Cape Cod league after sophomore season, hopefully drafted after junior season. However, I would also expect that the plan would be for him to get his five appearances in Johnstown and be eligible for postseason.

That would be big for Delweld if he was able to do that... But would that start problems with a team for him to play 5 games then come back in post season and play in front of the regular starter for the year? Any info on how George is doing this fall or Colin Harrington is doing?

That was taken off the kent state baseball page.. I googled it to see if they kept updates on kids through the fall.. The surprise thing is not that he hit a hr or that he is doing so well.. It is that he hit the hr to left field. If George starts pulling the ball as good as he goes opo, he is going to be next to impossible to pitch to! Congrats to George on a good fall, hopefully winter work outs go good and he does what everybody in the area knows he can do on the field!

Don't know if Roberts is in the Valley League, I'd be surprised if he left Delweld.
But Harrington is playing in the Valley League. Done deal.

Youse's Maryland Orioles(Baltimore) sought after Harrington as well.

hes got it made there. the whole town loves him. Why would he leave?

I think he will be in the Valley league. Don't see him back in Jtown. Both will benefit from playing better competition. Who is Harrington playing for in the valley league? No redshirt for him at UVA? I saw a piece on him, where the coach was saying about how he and some others were athletic and it should be a good recruiting class. I hope both of them can do well. I hope Colin can stay healthy.

he wont be seeing the field too much cause they have all returning starters from the National runner up team. But hes made the move to the outfield. Hopefully he can stay healthy and make some noise as a situational player and maybe get the chance to start as a soph.

well all he can do is work hard it will pay off. It is good to see kids from this area have success on a D1 level.

roberts is def. not coming back to Jtown next year... talked to his brother and he thinks he will be playing for luray? Not sure if i got that right though! Both are exceptional ball players Good luck to both, Maybe D1 ball will give harrington a reality check though and knock some of the cockiness out of him... I think that is the only thing holding him back from being more liked
