AAABA Thoughts and Ideas!
Who is everyone signing with for AAABA next year? Supposedly, Martella's has found some absolute studs in the Westmoreland County area and should win the league next year. The Creamery have a new coach and cut some of their dead weight. Delweld will stock up their roster with 20 kids that are better than anyone else in the league. Who knows what the Renegades or Principle will have, sometimes it looks like those two teams have the craziest coaching staffs and fans in the league. What is the story with the Highland Bulldogs? Are they folding, continuing?
I also noticed that someone in one of the AAABA tournament posts made the statement about the lack of power hitters in the league anymore. I couldn't agree more. 5-7 years ago you had guys like Pichler, Long, Goss, Hagerich, Mechling, McNulty, Hanley! Whatever happened to someone hitting 6 plus homeruns? Is our area declining that much in population that we can't find anyone to hit the long ball. This year their was just Leviseur and Saxman...where is the power at Jack? Also couldn't help but notice during the tournament about the lack of competition. The talent from other teams is weak, and if Johnstown would have won this year their would have been an asterisk beside the win.
Do open tryouts happen anymore? I couldn't help but think that teams like the Bulldogs, Creamery, and Principle would want to find kids at tryouts.
Are their any coaching changes for next year?

Doug McNulty will coach the Renegades. Heard the Bulldogs folded.

Look for possibly the biggest influx of players outside of the area for next year. Rumor has it the Creamery are at the 10 player limit for players outside of cambria county and not in the list of approved schools, Martella's is on the same track.
Anyone know if Antone's friend Garone (I think that is how you spell it) is signing with the Creamery, they would have the best chance to get him, he is from Kiski Area and supposedly is a stud.

hector you sound alot like Matt Hanley? Maybe not though! And Saxman and Leviseur were the only long ball hitters this year? Antone, and Roberts hit just as many as them. Also when Roberts starts pulling the ball he will be the best power hitter in the league! Look at the one Burkett tracked down at 395 to right center field in the tournament? Get a clue before you get on here and stir up sh*t because you back at school and bored.

Re: AAABA Thoughts and Ideas!
Antone did not have more than one homerun I believe and I think Roberts had three. Levi and Saxman had four, so I think I am right. I haven't been at school for a few years, and Roberts only has one more year in the league so if he doesn't figure out how to pull a pitch then he will be nowhere near the likes of Long, Pichler, Goss, Mechling, Hanley, McNulty. Those guys were great power hitters and even some of them hit above .400 with wood, with lots of power...so yea I think I am right, your the fool. Oh yeah, most of those guys hit the ball well the other way too...but knew when to yank and crank for the homerun...
Re: AAABA Thoughts and Ideas!
Hitting the ball 290 feet to left field is not that big of a deal sorry! There was a 13 yr old who hit one out of there last year in pony league... Beat your chest a little more about hitting one out a colt league distance field. Also You wanna knock Delwelds class? There fans and coaches are the only ones in the league trying to raise money for Little Matt! I seen in the paper last year he was allowed to go to LBK ranch and shoot a buck of a lifetime for free ( owned by George Roberts aunt and uncle) Was treated to the Rooney's luxury box for the Steeler game yesterday i heard, and met the players with yet again Delweld fans and family members.. So your right they are bad people with no class. They might argue calls, but let's be realistic the umpiring in that league is horrible and needs to be changed!,

Speaking of class, have you ever heard Little Matt talk to his mother?

Re: AAABA Thoughts and Ideas!
Just heard through the grapevine that Roberts is playing in the valley league in Virginia a mostly dominate D1 caliber league via reading up on it through the net? Any truth to this or is this just rumor's starting? If so that is a big blow to Delweld!
