My top 10 D5/6 A through 3 weeks

I know, but Mount Union is AA too and people are including them, so I was just pointing that out.

Than should we make a list of AA teams and put Johnstown in the discussion?
Than why are you even ranking McCort with the A teams, they play a nearly all AA schedule?

Point is, why would you put a list of the top 10 A teams and put a AA team in there for fun? It makes as much sense as the two scenarios I put up above.


Here is my list of A Teams.....
1. Bishop McCort (3-0) Crushers defense has been dominant through 3 games, but the schedule picks up over the next 3-4 weeks, should be interesting to see how they hold up.

2. North Star (3-0) Is there a more lethal combination in the area than Straiser to Straiser? The Cougars have taken care of business so far, big games ahead.

3. Bellwood-Antis (2-1) Strength of schedule has to come into play, and it does. Nobody in A has played a team as good as Tyrone. And when it comes down to it, the have basically owned the ICC.

4. Juniata Valley (3-0) The Hornets have 4 guys with 200 yards a piece! Lethal Running game. The Hornets survived their first test last week, and could be undefeated on October 21 when they travel to Bellwood.

5. Windber (3-0) Is Windber back? Maybe. The Ramblers have had some good years, but nothing like the dominance they used to have. They have 4 really big games left on the schedule starting Friday with Township. We'll see where they really are.

6. Conemaugh Township (3-0) The Indians have had some easy wins so far. They get their first big game Friday in Windber.

7. Blairsville (3-0) Blairsville is undefeated thus far, and have some good wins under their belt. They get Penns Manor at home, if they can pull that off, Blairsville may be back to the playoffs after a 2 year hiatus.

8. Penns Manor (2-1) The Comets are coming off a rough loss, but they still can make some noise. Danny Ferens is a very dangerous player.

9. Portage (2-1) The Mustangs got back on track last week and should roll this week, but they have big games with Township and Windber in the coming weeks, Can they hang with the big boys?

10. Moshannon Valley 2-1 The tough 2 point loss to Juniata Valley is the difference in them being ranked in the top 5, and being ranked 10. They should still make noise come playoff time.


AA Top 5.
1. Tyrone (2-1) They are a 1 loss team, but they are still the favorites at this point. They lost a close one on a Monday Night in overtime in the completion of a game against a AAAA school. No reason to be punished that much.

2. Richland (3-0) Im going to throw the comparison out there, Richland played like the Ravens did against the Steelers in their first game. They came out and completely shocked Forest Hills, and they showed what they are capable of when they play on all cylinders.

3. Forest Hills (2-1) The two time defending champion still will have a lot to say about who wins it this year. They are playing much better since week one.

4. Penn Cambria (2-1) Not one Fetzer's best teams, but they should still be 6-1 when the host Forest Hills on October 14.

5. Ligonier (3-0) They have not allowed a point yet, but that should change when Fort Hill of Maryland comes up and plays them in 2 weeks. They'll run through the Heritage, but we'll have to wait and see good they really are.
