Your fascination of Pitt fan's fascination with Penn State is pretty ironic if you think about it.

I see, so Pitt fans are allowed to talk about Penn State non stop, but if Penn State fans comment on it, then it's strange. Sounds like Pitt Logic to me.

Flags should not be flown at half mast for any coach. As crimson said young kids are killed in combat everyday. If we are disrespecting Joe Paterno by disagreeing, then all of you aredisrespecting the families of those who serve this great nation by not demanding that flags are flown at half mast everytime a soldier, policeman, or firefighter dies in the line of duty.

Here is an idea. If it really is that important to you, write a letter the govenor or a local representative instead of wasting your time bawling about it on a messageboard.

Flying the PA Flag at half mast is a great honor for a man who gave much to the state of Pennsylvania. Not since the militia days, prior to the formation of the Continental Army (during the American Revolution), has there been men who fought and died for their state. So I do not see it as a disgrace to fly our state flag for a FOOTBALL COACH, who was much more than that.

One could argue Southerners fought for their state during the Civil War, but I digress.

Good luck on writing to them... they never listen to anyone, unless you have the money!
