Fan or no fan, Heath has caught 337 passes over 7 years, 3,864 and 31 touchdowns.
Real reliable and a big target for Ben over the years, he has caught some big time passes in key situations. Statistically speaking he isn't the best Tight End in the league, but I'd say he ranks among the best with the blocking value he brings.

No way I'd put Mike Wallace in top 10 of current players, he's a one trick pony he can't run routes.

Re: Top 10 Greatest Pittsburgh athletes of all time.
I know he doesn't play tight end and have to block but through 3 years Wallace caught 171 passes for 3206 yards and 24 TDs. Heath never has been the Red Zone presence I feel that is needed from a tight end, he is possibly the slowest TE in the league (other than the blocking specialists), and over the past few years has dropped more important passes and put the ball on the ground more than ever before in his career. Seemed to top out after year 3 and never really elavated his game. It doesn't matter to me if Wallace is a one trick pony when that one trick gets him well over 1000 yards a year and multi digit TDs.
Can't believe no one else is giving Harrahan a spot in the top 10. One of the top 2 or 3 closers in the game over the past 2 seasons.

I think Pouncey has been hurt to much for top 10
Re: Top 10 Greatest Pittsburgh athletes of all time.
What are the boundaries? Someone who actually played for a Pittsburgh area pro / college team, or an athlete who came from the greater Pitts. area but maybe reached greatness with another team, or in another area. Just asking. Guys like Unitas, Namath, Ditka, Parilli, etc. immediately come to mind.
It ain't over until it's over.

Guys that have worn the Black and Gold, not athletes from the area. That List would be something else though, at least football wise.
