One thing nobody is talking about: Louisville had 10 dunks last night. TEN. They shredded Pitt's zone defense and used their defensive pressure to create way too may easy oppoortunities. Had Pitt allowed only 8 dunks, they'd have won.

3/12 FT shooting and allowing 10 dunks on the road in a BE game is a recipe for a loss. Frankly, Pitt was fortunate to only lose by 3.

Louisville is a tad overrated as well. Dieng is a very good Center. But Smith and Siva do a lot of good, but do a whole lot of bad. Pitt is a growing team that could be building a special run next season to start the ACC. I like what I am seeing, and I see them finishing strong in the regular season.



To build on what i am saying about special season. Steven Adams will continue to get better, Trey Zeigler is showing signs of what he is going to be next year. James Robinson is a cool PG. Plus a veteran group of forwards in Zanna, Moore, and Patterson. Durand Johnson should improve as well. I like their two recruits, Mike Young is doing very well at Prep school in Jersey, and Newkirk is an athletic guard that Pitt has not had in the Howland/Dixon era. NC State, Duke, and Syracuse will be losing a lot. UNC may be down again, Pitt has a nice shot to have a great run in the ACC next year.

Pitt got a huge win Saturday against the Cuse. Pitt has owned Syracuse of late. Dixon is 10-3 against Boeheim. It was a good team win. Everybody scored and contributes. Heck at the three minute mark nobody had more than six points. The depth killed Syracuse. 31-3 in terms of bench scoring. It's good to see Adams get better every game. Pitt needs to care of business against Seton Hall tomorrow, and they have a tough one at Cincinnati Saturday.

The WPIAL is stacked next year. Plenty of big time players, and I think Pitt will be in the running for a number of them.

1. Shai McKenzie of Washington, PA could be the heir apparent to Rushel Shell. Similar runners. He is a top 10 running back in the country. He is 6-0 210, Big Ten teams will be all over him. He loved his visit to Pitt, and I think that puts them in solid shape moving forward.

2. Dravon Henry will be a four star Safety. I'd put Pitt's chances very, very high. Ohio State is really pushing for him, but I bet the Aliquippa pipeline will stay with Pitt.

3. Montae Nicholson of Gateway called his visit, "phenomenal" to Pitt. He is another top 100 caliber player. Michigan and Ohio State have offered, but I'd say Pitt is in OK shape with the kid.

4. Alex Booker of Mt. Lebanon is a 6-6 300 pound tackle. Already has a Florida State offer, I bet he ends up as a big recruit. His old head coach, is now an assistant at Pitt.

5. Saeed Blacknall of New Jersey, could be a good recruit. 6-2 190 WR. I bet he is a three star, fringe four star.

6. Mike Grimm from Bethel Park, could end up being very highly rated. He is massive, and the big time programs like Alabama and Georgia are interested. Pitt is in good standing with him by all accounts I have seen. 6-7 320.

7. Jonathon Hilliman of New Jersey. Could be a very highly rated recruit. Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State ect ect.....Pitt's best play, his Dad went there, and his Uncle is a legend at Pitt, Ironhead Heyward.

8. Troy Vincent's son, Troy Vincent, also came. FOur star CB from Maryland. Would be a big time recruit.

Pitt is in play with a lot of good talent for next year. I think Chryst can actually recruit. (So can Bobby Engram)

-- JoJo Kemp is a 3 star RB from Florida, offers from Nebraska,Tennessee, and WVU. He would be a nice get, and offset Corey Clement's de-commitment.

--Tyler Boyd??? Tennesee, no description needed, Word is he committed already. And he is waiting until the All American game he is playing in.

--Robert Foster is down to Pitt and Bama decision being made December 21. I'm hearing Pitt.

--Jaleel Hytche 3 star CB from Cincinnati is down to Pitt and Northwestern. Would be a nice pickup.

--Jaryd Jones Smith massive 6-7 Tackle from West Catholic, not rated highly, but down to Pitt,UVA, and NC ST. Rumor is he is going to Pitt.

--Justin Moody is on the verge of committing to Pitt, big DT 3 star from Philly.

--Kenton Gibbs DT from Michigan is visiting in January, well regarded player.

If Pitt can land 4-5 of these guys, I'm a pretty happy guy

You can't be too happy? Pitt didn't land the 4 or 5 you had hoped for. From what I hear, they might not even land Boyd. Boyd said this week that WVU and Pitt were like a high school compared to a real college like Tennesee, per the rivals premium board. His Mom said he would be at Penn State if not for the sanctions. Pitt's recruiting class is ok and Chryst is doing decent, but I wouldn't get carried away. Their high scout ranking is based off the number of recruits. Average star ranking puts them at around 41st in the nation. I see 10 - 2 star recruits, 15 - 3 star recruits, a 4 star QB, a 4 star WR who would be at PSU if not for sanctions, and a 5 star OL who would be at PSU if not for sanctions. Out of 27 kids, Pitt has 8 ranked. By comparison, Penn State will be signing 18 kids 10 of which are ranked (4 of which are top 5 at their position)

Pitt stopped recruiting Gibbs. I'm not surprised Kemp went to Kentucky, they were treating him like a five star superstar, and he can start there right away. He wasn't going to be the feature back at Pitt. Pitt only has 27 commitst, two over the limit. And that includes a kicker and punter. It's a consensus top 40 class, and is roughly 4th best in the ACC. That's pretty good. I'm not sure what Boyd wants, if he leaves, he leaves. Pitt is not going after the full 29 now, I think they so stand pat at 27. I'm not too concerned how Pitt got a five star linemen. Some of Pitt's best players recently have come roundabout ways. Who gives a **** lol. As long as they are there. Pitt is in play for a number of big recruits next year, why not be excited about it?
