I understand the schedule part of it and yes BC and BG play tougher schedules than those in A conferences but all 3 A teams in AA are privates. Not only that but 4-6 teams shouldn't even be considered. That said McCort probably isn't a team you're looking forward to playing if your a one seed but I doubt they're going to get in.

Speaking of class size, when the LHAC took Bishop Carroll into their conference (after nobody else wanted them), I thought that there was an agreement that they would play AA. Guess they weaseled out of that one.

From my understanding that agreement was for McCort and they did play up for a number of years

McCort was AA for a number of years and for one rotation they played up.

After the way BC treated the members of the old Appalachian Conference while they were playing there, no one in that conference wanted to be associated with them. BC practically BEGGED the LHAC to take them in. They had nowhere else to go. They were supposed to play up to AA. They didn't.

I like how this randomly gets thrown in. Tell me CoachCarter who do YOU want us to play to make our schedule tougher I'm really curious. This year Portage has North Star, Berlin, Meyersdale, Windber, Homer Center and Blairsville on their schedule. Call me crazy but thats a pretty stacked SINGLE A schedule for District 5 & 6.

I'm not sure, but what's the series BC vs BM? Back when BC was destroying D6 A

I bring this up caz could this be the reason BM played up for so long?

Carroll owned McCort for some time, but again Bishop McCort was actually a AA school for a long time. They weren't playing "up"

Greenmachine, I realize you have to play within your conference. It was not a put down. It is an observation. I stated Portage gets in because of a weak schedule because it is a fact. Automatic wins (if there is such a thing) over Ferndale, CV, Blacklick, Shade, Rockwood (when they had a team) every year. Add that to programs that struggle 4 out of 5 years (Meyersdale, CT) and you are looking at 6 or 7 wins a year 99.9% assured. All they have to do is beat one of the other 3 (Windber, Berlin, NS) and you have an 8 win season. My point is Portage in 9 out of 10 years gets in because they are guaranteed at least 6 wins a season. You can't argue against it. And again I know they are in a conference but maybe the westpac should allow its teams to schedule out of their conference week 10 like the LHAC used to in order to play stiffer competition before playoffs. Richland and Bellwood scheduled each other the last 2 years and Tyrone has scheduled Johnstown in the past.

And that makes me bring up another topic. I am disappointed that the LHAC is making its teams play each other week 10. That eliminates old rivalries and interesting match ups that made week 10 interesting. The LHAC should be ashamed of itself IMO!

And one more thing Greenmachine; Portage is still going to win at least 6 games this year (I am guessing they filled the Rockwood week?) EVEN if they loss to Windber, HC and Blairsville. They will beat Meyersdale. That's my point.
