Let me start by saying I'm not connected to either team. Honestly I think Meyersdale has a real good chance if they believe they can win. Berlin wins games on the bus before they even start. Teams beat themself and don't have confidence. I also think Berlin is overrated and if they ventured anywhere out of the westpac they would be in serious trouble. Berkley is the Frank Gore of the westpac being a big strong powerful back with speed to back it up. Fochman can be contained as long as M'dale can get penetration and wrap up. I give the kid credit he's a heck of a back but a strong defensive line can hold him in check. With that being said goodluck to both teams and hopefully the fans get a good game!

After watching Portage and North Star vs. Berlin, a good defensive line is not gonna keep him in check. Yes, they can play a big role, but he is to elusive to be wrapped up by big linemen. What is needed most against him, is good gang tackling, a downhill safety and quick linebackers who can wrap him up. He is very elusive, and is very hard to prepare for because it is hard to just get hands on him. And he's only a sophomore, expect big things from this young man.

You're right about that. I didnt clarify, what I meant was if M'dales defensive line doesn't do the things I said they have a very slim chance you need first contact on him at the line of scrimmage. A full defensive effort is needed in every game obviously I was just stating that this game if a big one for the d line of the raiders. The only thing I don't like that fochtman does is runningside to side so much. He isn't that big and I fear one of these times he's going to have a big hit on him. Not so much east and west and more north ans south. No one wants to see such an all around good kid get hurt because of hit he doesn't see coming. Also its almost wrestling season and if you haven't seen this kid wrestle you should really make trip to watch. Great athlete.
