I thought somerset dominated that line. They only had that long run on the option because somerset had a safety blitz on the wrong side and nobody was outside on it. The qb and the two rbs broke thru a couple times, but most were tackled at the line of scrimmage or losses. All they did was punt all night!

Central does not move any 9th graders up to the varsity level but there were several on last years 9th grade team that would have been just fine. Just depends on the kids...some are ready, some are not.

Starting Freshmen at the Varsity Level.

McCort's freshmen class is being thrown into the fire earlier than normal, but it might pay off down the line. Walters and Andrews are going to be really good. Walters already is a good linebacker.

Real bleacher, you are right, McCort has had OK line play this year. I haven't seen a full game in person, but it seems every game McCort manages to post an 8 minute time consuming scoring drive. Beyond that drive, it's ugly but each game they are able to run the ball, pick up first downs, but that's it. They turn it over too much, and they have no game breakers. Andrews has a chance to be that down the line though.

If he gets bigger and really wants to play football or does he really want to wrestle at Westmont. Walter is a hard nose football player that work hard in the games, but by the 3rd quarter he out of gas because he plays every down. Question, why don't they get a break take off the Kick off and Kick off receive team in the game? The biggest problem down at McCort is Coaching not teaching anything, go to JV game and watch, most plays are qb around the end and throw the ball to one wide out. Right now its just a BAD program. They have no backup at QB, unless their waiting for the hurt freshman to take over next year for this QB.

I don't see anyone unseating the current QB, he's talented just needs some work. From a physical standpoint, he has everything you would want in a QB. Probably out of gas from running to the sideline every play instead of a receiver just bringing him the play.

They do have a nice QB with some work. And west I was watching the game McCort line played well for the first half. They had a size advantage that was clear.

I agree with mccorts qb is pretty good for a sophomore, they have nice size on the line, and they really lack speed. Somerset defense still was in total domination throughout that game though! They did have some nice runs, but also lost yards a lot and tackled for no gains which they punted constantly in the half somerset starters played. Slayback, van litten and beistal were out too for somerset in that game. That nick holti had a great game at lb. Had a lot of tackles and he will be even better next year. jmo I also saw chadbourn and kitt didn't play in the cambria heights game for bg. Did they get hurt in the forest hills game?
