D6 AAA boys. girls

I know parents were standing and screaming at him since December. People just genuinely didn't like his choice for whatever reason. I heard parents were ejected because they spent the whole game yelling at him.

The thing is, this Johnstown team just simply wasn't one of their better teams. Dan Shipman, Neil Cobaugh, or John Fuscino could have coached this team. They simply weren't better than BC, Somerset, and Hollidaysburg.

Now the Westmont loss...ok yeah I get that.

But the Hoffman teams would beat this team handily, even the teams led by Paul Weatherly were better than these guys. And more recently the Alkwan Williams/Dwight Andrews group was also better. So I'm not sure where the big expectations came from

I usually agree with most of the things you post and for the most part you are spot on but when it comes to basketball from top to bottom Johnstown had more talent and ability then every team in the LHAC including my BC team. I never thought they could beat Hollidaysburg but pure talent, length, athleticism and depth not winning the LHAC is underachieving. Last year BC team was better more talented than them. I watched every team play in the LHAC this year against BC and without a doubt Johnstown had more talent than any school, that is not my opinion that is a fact my friend. Outside of Martinazzi Johnstown was better than us at all other spots.

I'll trust your word, I guess I'm just comparing them to past Johnstown teams more so than current LHAC teams.

I noticed at the game last night, JHS assistant and long-time BMCHS supporter Tom Basile. (No relation to Brian). How he came to be there IDK, but I'm sure he wishes he was on the Crusher bench. I feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for anyone that can't control their bench, overlooks thugism on and off the court. Hollidaysburg not much better. Older folks who got there in plenty of time to get decent seats top 2 or 3 rows on the bottom section, had to move because they couldn't see over the 40 or 50 H'burg Horde who had to stand, totally blocking everyone's view. And Crimson- that upper section @ CC blows. You try and sit there sometime.

I have sat there before, I also saw the crowd wasn't full by a picture off the Forest Hills Twitter account.

If Central Cambria is good enough for state playoff games, I'm sure it can hold a district semi final.

Tom Basile was the head freshman boys coach this past year. I saw them play twice, he did a nice job with them.

He seemed to handle the 9th grade team well from a behavioral standpoint and there was some organization to how they played also. He has a good and positive personality, it worked.


I've never known him to coach boys basketball, he long coached McCort girls and Our Mother of Sorrows girls.

So wait Johnstown hired a known girls coach for varsity and for Jr high. There is nothing wrong with coaching girls but there is a big difference from coaching boys and coaching girls. It's different from an X's and O's stand point and a buy in stand point.

Curious who the AD is, and if they have a problem with getting quality boys basketball coaches to apply for positions.

Correct Prophet, there is a big difference coaching girls and boys teams in this area......girls teams are successful, boys aren't!
