I'm a Ridge fan and I would love to see them make it deep in to the state playoffs, but I don't think it will happen. I can see them winning D-5/8, but even that is not a given with the way this years team has varied in how it plays each week. I think they are still too young yet. Even their team that won 10 games a couple years ago didn't make it after winning the district title and that team was pretty talented and senior heavy. I think with all the playing time the underclassmen have gotten this year and the fact that they will return every starter next year bodes well for higher hopes next season

The change to 6 classes should help the d5 teams have more of a chance. AA champ won't have to play Karns City. A champ wouldn't face Clairton until semis. Although Farrell from d10 is always tough also.
