2018 PIAA Classes
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
No, we know they have a good team. You do well for a while then go back to preaching about LV being the greatest show on earth. Yes, them moving up gets them away from LV, but it also has them in an all public class locally. Maybe LV should move up since they're since they're the best?

Which private is so scary in AA?
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
Bishop McCort is AA right? They always have a good team and can have a great team at any moment. Plus you also get away from Southern Columbia if they plan to make it that far. Just a lot of food for thought. They're AAA now. Maybe they're just happy where they're at. How many will they be under AAA?

McCort's single A.
I don't think Forest Hills is avoiding anyone. Generally Central has a better team than Ligonier, I think Central was better 2 years ago and Ligonier was better this past season. Not sure what next year holds, but either way they've had comparable teams in recent seasons. But to win a D6 title, you need to get through one of them. So I don't think either path is a gimme.
Forest Hills just might be content where they are and have interest in defending it's AAA title. Or maybe the one kid that pushed them into AAA moved into the district last month?

Yeah wasn't saying LV doesn't have an excellent team returning just knew it wouldn't take long for someone from LV to remind us of that.EnzoLigoniere wrote:Are you saying that Ligonier Valley does not have an excellent team returning? A team better than anyone except possibly Forest Hills in AAA

You play to win the game!!!
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
Forest Hills will be very, very good next fall. Cecere will be lights out. They would be the favorite in AA or AAA next year in my opinion.
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
They will need to find some linemen to protect AC, provided he comes out. No Jon Long.
No Eric Elgin. Once he officially signs with Wake for baseball, he might skip football. MY 2 c.

It ain't over until it's over.
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
This is exactly what I heard, the elected to play up to defend their title. I agree they lose a lot but they had some players that showed some very good potential. Maybe not the best team in the area next year but will be in the running.Crimson's Ghost wrote:McCort's single A.

Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
It depends a lot on Cecere playing next year or not. With him they will be a threat, without him could be a long year for the Don.
Re: 2018 PIAA Classes
Cecere will play football next year and he'll be outstanding. They'll find enough weapons for him to tear it up. The kid is a D1 talent and it shows.
