Is there a better coaching staff then the Blairsville girls staff?   They game plan better than most.  They consistently win the big games with solid preparation, execution, and in game decision making.   The girls are all in for the team as well. That comes from the top down.
Congrats for beating a great team last night

I’m not as familiar with the BG and BC programs. What do Drenning and Cosie do to develop young talent? Great players can make any coach look good. I am surprised more coaches haven’t copied what they are doing at the elementary and junior high levels to have such great players.

Cosie is one of the best around.  He gets a lot out of his teams every year without tons of talent. His teams play hard, their press can be suffocating and they share the ball on offense.   If I had to pick a D6 fantasy team, he’d be on the short list for me as a head coach.

It’s easy to dismiss coaches for Catholic schools, but I’ve always found that to be lazy.  Watch how the teams play. And you’ll see they know what they are doing.

Like even to extend that to college basketball, Coach K and Roy Williams always have talent.  I think Coach K is a better coach, not because of success or talent, but his teams are generally more competent and they play better defense than Roy’s teams.

That’s all fine and good. Doesn’t answer my question. I’m not debating public and private, that’s been overdone. I am just curious what they do at those levels to develop talent.
