Maybe give some younger guys a chance. Shutty at NC was young at CC. I would rather see guys like that get a chance then dinosaurs like Fye.
Shutty was 4-16 at CC, one 2-8 season was a CC team that was the area preseason favorite to win the LHAC. He has gone to a smaller conference and done well. Did he become a better coach after leaving?
McGregor was also young.
Fyfe is younger than Beitel so I’m not sure why he’s a “dinosaur”

Felus came into a program hungry and willing to do anything to win. They have there motto mountain mentality and it's going pretty good for them.
Hungry and willing because of the hype of having a D1 QB on staff perhaps?
I’m not trying to take anything away from the job he has done, but it’s too early to tell if it was the horses or not. Did him and Altoona not want to win?

Franco couldn't win at Altoona. Sponsky flat out turned them down. Felus was never going to win there. When BG poaches your talent yearly. No hope.
Except for the randy mccavish and much later persio teams CC has been bad for so long, the Heritage is the best option to actually compete. Or maybe hire the baseball coach, he figured out how to win at that school

Part of the problem too is that nobody wants to coach anymore. HS football has basically turned into a 24/7 365 job. The time commitment, especially for football, is insanely crazy. Lifting at most good programs starts at the beginning of December, then spring ball in may, then anywhere from 3-5 days per week over the summer not counting any 7 on 7's schools may go to, then once the season starts its 6-7 days a week. D6 isn't exactly a hot spot or destination for any really good coaching candidates either. Typically you don't get outside hires because the jobs aren't real attractive, especially if there aren't teaching positions with those coaching jobs.

I've said before I don't even think Nick Saban could win at Altoona.

And according to knowitall apparently they should do it for $1500

Not going to speak for anyone else, but I'm guessing that he is implying the he is being paid six figures for a do-nothing administrative day job, so he can coach football.
