TAE blames the problems at PSU on everyone else except one person:

The tail has been wagging the dog for decades there at PSU. For goodness sakes, Joe is FIGHTING to have his salary KEPT PRIVATE...and he has SUCCEEDED. How can government keep the salary of a public employee confidential????? This sounds fishy to me. I have no idea how PSU continues to get away with keeping Paterno's salary private.

I'm sure he makes some ridiculous, unGodly amount of money and is embarassed that it would be published. His "LIBRARY DONATIONS" are probably made out of guilt because the salary he makes would surely be seen as bilking the taxpayers. It would not surprise me if uses these donations to "launder" his salary money and receive kickbacks in some form from the library, so that just in case his salary is ever revealed he can say, "Look how much I donated to PSU!" Remember, the man has an Ivy League education (Brown, circa 1802), he is intelligent enough to pull this off.

I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Joe was paid $7-8M or even $10M a year. If he didn't make a ridiculous salary that is so far out of line, then why would he care if it was made public????

wpial, I understand you are trying to irritate the people that like PSU on BC, and are trying to make a point that Pitt fans are smarter than PSU fans, or that Pitt players are better than PSU football players, or Wanny is better than JoePa, but you just need to stop already. I dont know if you just came out of retirement, got laid off, and have a lot more free time on your hands or whatever, maybe even you (which im really starting to think is true right now) applied for PSU some years ago, got denied and now have a long sought out feud with PSU. His salary was actually released and is only around $500,000.

WPIAL, I don't understand what you want us PSU fans to explain to you. You act like we were all with these players as they are getting in trouble. No one on this site decides on the suspensions or expulsions. The problem is more than just the players getting in trouble. I attend Penn State and I can tell you that a lot of people have been arrested for these same type of things. It does not justify anything but it might tell you that there is a bigger problem than just the football players. Typing in large letters in every post just makes you seem like more of a JACK ****

I seem to remember reading an article in sports illustrated about a specific USC linebacker that had been arrested. so i guess what i'm saying is apparently their discipline problems in all programs in d1 football. Escpecially the successful ones. See USC, Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, and many others.

Players that are no longer on the team or are not yet convicted of anything should not be on this list so your of 65 is actually this:

1. Narvarro Bowman- Felony aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and stalking, probation violations.

2. Abe Koroma- Drug possession

3. Knowledge Timmons- Disorderly conduct and defiant trespass

4. Joe Suhey- Underage drinking

5. Ryan Breen- Underage drinking

6. Andrew Quarless- Underage drinking

That's it and 3 of these 6 are underage drinking which should not lead to expulsion.
