When you think of all the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars that were spent by the parent's of McCort students over the years for tuition, etc, Johnstown would not be in the plight it is today, economically. Take a ride thru Johnstown sometime. Too bad all that tuition money wasn't spent on cars, clothing, entertainment. It's McCort/Johnstown Catholic's fault that Johnstown is a distressed city. Over the years, the only thing that they purchased with any regularity were ties and white shirts.

Not to upset anyone here but can you imagine what Blacklick Valley could of done with all the talented athletes they lost to BC. They, my friends, would have been "scary good" on the field. The local pubs in Nanty-Glo would still be talking about all those D-6 championships!

Excellent point OC - not only would Blacklick have won the old Appalachian conference and WestPac, but they would have beaten Windber twice - in the regular season and the D6 championship games

Back in the mid-late 90's. BC's Luke Golden. All-state LB who originally played in Jr. Hi for FH. FH was real good then, scary good with Golden.

Any years where things would have aligned and the area would have brought home a state championship or two?
