DLine isnt really debatable in my eyes Romeus and Sheard are a force
Backs and Receivers Ohh yeah not close. Royster is good though. But Moye and Zug couldnt hold Baldwins jockstrap
Tino and Newsome are on the same level
Secondary you might have us, we played without our safeties in the Spring.
LB's about even...Dan Mason is a freak, PSU doesnt have Lee or Connor or Posluzny. They are solid no star power.
Depth's a push

Theses aren't 1999 Walt Harris recruits boys, Wanny can go get 'em with the best of these days. Pitt's talent level is among the top 15 in the country these days. Not being biased, going off the facts of our recruiting class rankings. It is what it is. I said without the Blue and White shaded glasses. Come on nowwwwww
Hahaha you just keep making yourself look worse. First you say Pitt has more talent than Penn State, then you use class rankings to back it up. You realize Penn State has finished higher every year in class rankings right??? Also, your reasoning for what positions are better are horrible.

You say Tino and Newsome are on the same level. What are you basing this off of? Have you seen either one play a series of football yet?

You talk about Dan Mason being a freak and he couldn't even unseat adam gunn last year.

You mention Baldwin for Pitt. I'll be the first to admit he looked pretty good last year, along with Lewis. You fail to look at what conference they were running wild in. They didn't look so great against a mediocre North Carolina game.

As for Penn State's receivers, they have about 7 right now who would start opposite of baldwin. You probably never heard of Justin Brown and Curtis Drake. You will this year.

The bottom line is you have no idea what team has more talent and if you'd ask unbiased people across the country you wouldn't like the answer.

Maybe some day if your team ever plays in a big boy conference you'll be able to talk a little junk. Until then, I'd probably just be content to sit and root for 9 wins again in the Big East.

There are only a handful of college football fans lacking the amount of intelligence needed to realize the Big East is irrelevant in college football. We are lucky enough to have about 5 of them on here.

Just wait til they add Memphis, that will change everything.

Crimson, OSU and Alabama are probably the 1 and 2 in the preseason polls. Iowa might get 5th. We play all 3 on the road.

Iowa at 5 is wishful thinking.

Your reasoning for saying your recruiting classes ranked higher mean nothing. Dion Lewis or Greg Romeus didn't account into those rankings and both are 1st team All Americans. Think about that.

I base that off neither has played a series, meaning they are on the same level. looks like your the one looking dumber by the comment.

Your WR logic is very very wishful. Penn State has 7 guys better then Pitt's 2nd best wideout. hahahah get your head checked please. I'll take Pitt's WR's any day. Shanahan and Saddler can play.

Didn't think Adam Gunn was all that bad. Mason added depth.

Dion Lewis can be argued as the best RB in the country, and he had by unbiased people, Some people like him more then Mark Ingram. Sorry nice try.

Baldwin is top 15 pick, They wouldn't project him there if he wasn't that good. Once again valiant effort.

I wouldnt like the answer with unbiased opinions? No my friend you wouldnt. Penn State fans have commonly accepted that Pitt is the BBall school and they still are the tops dogs in football, and you all dont want to believe that Pitt is starting to get right there. And IMO have more talent.

And nobody gives two shits about Big Ten Football outside all of you brainwashed big headed Big Ten Fans. Dude you guys really need to get off your knees when it comes to your league. So you have big schools and big stadiums, `means nothing to me

I never said Dion Lewis and Baldwin weren't good ball players. I would just give them a year before you fit them for their hall of fame jackets. You really didn't prove any points there. All you are basically doing is proving you are a big Pitt homer who can't see reality.

Shannahan and Sadler. Give me a break.

I hope Pitt finds itself in a conference some day, so you get to see the reality of where the Pitt program really stands in College football. Until then, keep beating your chest over coming in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in what used to be Conference USA.

Also, I don't see where Pitt finished ahead of Penn State in 2007? I was on Rivals and Penn State is ranked ahead of Pitt. 2008 Pitt did finish above Penn State. Penn State had 14 scholarships. Congrats on that. You realize Pitt's 2009 recruiting class was ranked 47th right? 2010 they were ranked 33rd. 2006 and 2007 they were 26th and 28th. So much for that top 15 talent based on recruiting websites. That averages out to top 33.5 talent. Of course, top 33 in the big east looks pretty good in the the conference. Outside of the conference it looks like Cincy vs. Florida. Seriously, where do you get your facts? Is the Wanny wall built around your internet too, so you can only get on Bleachercoaches and Pitt's rivals website?

The only recruiting knowledge Crimson has is what he gained trying to recruit members in the Crusher band.

Herbie either BM has the worst education system in Western PA or crimson has no higher than a 9th grade education. You can keep arguing with this Wanny blow hard or realize this guy is a total idiot.

Maybe I'll go slower.....Pitt's recruiting classes were lower because nobody realized how good Lewis or Romeus were at the time. So Because Pitt's recruiting class was only rated say 28th. After the fact it obviously grows in stock because how the two players developed. There is where the more talent factor comes in.

2008 http://pittsburgh.scout.com/a.z?s=141&p=9&c=14&yr=2008
2007http://pittsburgh.scout.com/a.z?s=141&p=9&c=14&yr=2007 #8 is in the Top 15 right?
2006http://pittsburgh.scout.com/a.z?s=141&p=9&c=14&yr=2006 Im not sure is #11 top 15?

And you were saying?

I don't pay any attention to scout's rankings. Rivals has them at 26, 28, 33, and 47. Basically, that's where there going to be most years because it's hard to convince a kid to play at a stadium with no atmosphere. It's hard to believe a team with all these "top 15" rankings can't get in to the top 15.

Also, if you think Pitt is the only team that had kids ranked as 2 or 3 star athletes play above their rankings then i don't know what to tell you. It just proves that you only look at things through Pitt's eyes. You have a mustache don't you Crimson?

Dude seriously? "I dont pay attention to scouts rankings" you sound like a woman dude. I just disproved everything you have said in this whole topic, you look like an idiot especially with this last thing you said. I'm done with you, It's not getting past the blue and white paint stuck on your beer gut from last years Penn State-Portage game. h
