Moldo you're making yourself look like a fool.....again!. I've never seen a fanbase with more excuses regarding their program. It's always about the City. Why don't we have fans at games...well that's because there is sooo much to do in Pittsburgh. Why does our team stink....well that's because it's tough to recruit to a city. Why did our kids get in trouble...well that's because it's easier to get inn trouble in a city program.

Really? You do realize that State College is a college town where the police are in place to monitor kids on campus. The majority of State College is made up of Students. If a kid gets arrested in State College, it is big news. If a college kid gets arrested in Pittsburgh, it's just another arrest. That is probably why we didn't hear about half of the arrests that occured for the Pitt Football team. You neglect to mention that in Pittsburgh it's easier to blend in and become a number.

I mean if there is SO much more to do in Pittsburgh. Shouldn't these kids be going to Kennywood, Science Museum, Pirate Games, etc, and not getting in trouble. I mean in State college all there is to do is drink. Pittsburgh has so much more to offer that's why there is never any fans at the games rememeber?

So you're saying that PSU kids get in trouble all by themselves WITHOUT any outside influences??? That's even worse!!!!!!!! At least Pitt has somewhat of an excuse. Maybe PSU student athletes are just bad eggs to begin with. Nothing needs to push them over the edge, they're already there when they arrive on campus.

Yes there is such a thing called Accountability. You might learn about it someday. These kids hold the cards in their hands. If they let outside influences affect that then that's their problem. You can make excuses for them if you want. These kids make their choice as to where they go to school. If they let the "outside influences" come between that then it's their own dumb fault

If a high school kid is basically a good kid, walk's a straight line, and never causes trouble, And THEN goes off to college and starts to drink and carous around, is it his "own dumb fault", or was he subject to "outside influences"? AND would you say that there are MORE outside influences in an inner city campus or in a rural campus?

100% the kids fault.

I would think South Beach Miami would be considered to have more "bad influences" Yet, Miami had 2 arrests compared to 22. Keep blaming the city though. Good built in excuse for Pitt

It's absolutely disgraceful then, that State College and PSU had MORE criminal activity than Miami? Unbelieveable isn't it? WOW!!! And if it's 100% the kids fault, it's a shame that PSU students get involved in DUI's and marijuana all by their lonesome. And for such a small area.

It is disgraceful that 16 kids out of 85 would run in to trouble with the law, yes. It's even more disgraceful if over 1/4th of your team does regardless of where your school is. I guess if you go to a city school you should be given some leeway since it's expected that you should get in trouble. You should really try looking at something objective once.

Why should anyone be given leeway because they live in the city? I'm just saying it's easier for a high school athlete to get into trouble if he plays for a 'city' team, instead of one in a small town or in the country.

I thought so. It's Paterno and PSU, who represent a rural/small city university, that are adept at giving "leeway" if you have potential to get into trouble.
