I heard the kid from Richland's parents ran out of money and could just not afford the $5,400 any longer. Add to that the pay for play and all the fundraising ( $500 in ads for the football program alone ) and enough was enough.

I know one of those 18 had someone very close to him transfer from one public school to another several years back.

Im going to agree with Jack in both of his examples, had it gone the other way everyone would complain mccort recruits. Because people come on here and say that about every singel kid that transfers to mccort. It doesnt matter if the kids doesnt play sports at all someone will say they were recruited. It gets old hearing about how every single kid that transfers there was recruited honestly. Even if McCort does recruit their only hope to win a state championship was last year. And ill take a wild guess and say if they would have won it, most of the people complaining would have had their kids taking a visit within the next week or so. Winning prorams attract attention. Kids want to win and get the best chance at making the next level, only a handful of schools (Jtown, Mccort, Carrol, and FH) can give them the opputunity to go D1. Whens the last time CH had a legit D1 recruit?

Winning attracts attention is the exact problem. McCort wins and they get more of an influx of transfers, FH wins and nothing at all happens, kids can't just up and transfer that reside in Richland.

Whens the last time FH had a legit D1 recruit? And they are the most successful program. D1 has a lot more to do with size/speed/potential than programs. Some coaches do more and "sell" their kids more than others, which gets more kids opportunities and more looks (see BC) though.

I agree pats .The program has very little to do with you go div 1 or not.You either have the goods or you don't.The head coach can really help though by shopping you around!

Jack Daniels, who is the kid that started for Richland in football and basketball that transfered from McCort? I went to a few games in both sports and didn't notice any different names. If you mean Stopko, he didn't start in the games I saw.
