private schools win and have good season= kids transfer in to parochial feeder or high school that happen to excel at that sport

public schools win and have good season= nothing changes and left with same players in the system

please show me where public schools are getting away with something.

and before mccorts 2001 run it wasnt like that(with few exceptions), I don't even know if there was one transfer on that 2001 team. Yet magically after that some talented athletes transfer from FH, from richland, from CT, from north star etc etc. Same thing with basketball before Hollern.

I know of kids who have gone from privates to publics while in high school for one reason and one reason only, athletics, and no one complains. So like I said public schools can do whatever they want and no one cares.

of course private to public transfers happen but regularly like at mccort or carrol? heck no.

quick name me the last starter at mccort that transferred to a public school the last few years? Doubt there were any

Not only that, but publics can ONLY get the rare transfers that ALREADY live in their school district..a kid that goes to McCort that lives in Westy can't just transfer to FH if he decides FH is better football wise

so lets sum this up by using an example

richland gets good in football again, and they may get a few transfers from the parochial system or mccort that ONLY reside in the Richland school district

McCort does good in football, and they get transfers from school districts of but not limited to: westmont, conemaugh valley, windber, Forest Hills, Conemaugh Township, Richland, Liogneer, Somerset, Johnstown, North Star, Ferndale,Meyersdale, ETC ETC and could almost name a player that played at McCort who transferred in from one of those places who played football

Of course you will come back and say well that public school just needs to get better so they don't have kids that transfer---not ALL districts can have winning records when you draw from 10+ school districts

Not blaming McCort or whatever, but just at least see the advantage.

Richland had a player start for them this year in basketball and football who transfered from McCort this year for his senior year. And no one cared. Had it been the other way around all hell breaks loose. Also a starter on the line for Johnstown this year, left McCort after their sophomore year to go to Johnstown. Once again had it been the other way around people go crazy.
