Because Nebraska definitely joined the Big Ten to gain better academic standing...

Nebraska actually has good academics, believe it or not. Not great, but they are an AAU institution. They have national worth, great football legacy, and they are a midwestern school. I think its a great fit.

thats not the point. They didn't join to expand research, they went there to play in games like next week, when they travel to Madison.

Toggle this by 2010 Endowment, largest to smallest, and look at all the Big Ten names on this list.

Notice Missouri is not there. But Nebraska sure is.
