Ouch, I'm hurt.

I'm not expecting a whole lot from Pitt this year. I think 8 wins would be welcomed, Wanny and Graham left some positions really unsettled.

Tino is terrible....When I argue with my PSU buddies they swear Bolden and McGloin are worse.....I don't know about that.
Ray Graham was the leading back in the nation when he went down, Shell is one the best incoming guys. That should be fun to watch.
Devin Street is a good receiver among some very bad ones.
TE isn't too bad. Hubie Graham could be good, former PSU commit JP Holtz should make an impact.
OL is putrid.
DL is paper thin, Aaron Donald may be the best undersized nose guard in the country.
Linebacking....ehhh.
Secondary.....Our Safeties are tiny, at least Reed is out. Thats a plus.
Special Teams....Kevin Harper cost us many a game on missing field goals.

I think Pitt will go 8-4. Losses- @Cincy. Va Tech.Louisville @ND
I think PSU will go 8-4 also. Losses-Northwestern,OSU,@Nebraska, Wisconsin

Sunseri is terrible, but he definitely will do better in this offense than he did in Grahams (he CAN'T do worse).

The O-line was putrid last year, but these guys were recruited be Wanny to run the ball, not play patty cake like they did in Grahams offense. I'm sure it is a welcomed change for them to play smashmouth football with the likes of Graham and Shell behind them. Isaac Bennett had a great spring too. I'm sure they won't all 3 rush for near 1,000 yards like Wisky did a few years ago, but they should be a great asset.

The receivers are average at best. Street is soft, Shanahan is slow, and everyone else is 5'9".

TE should be a strength this year and in the future.

The D-line should be ok, Aaron Donald needs to continue to develop into a force down there.

Taglianetti is undersized at safety, but the kid lays it on the line every single play, which is so fun to watch. He was awful two years ago and I couldn't stand to watch him, but last year he was maybe my favorite player to watch on the team.

I think 8-4 sounds about right as well Crimson. The running game should be good enough to win the games against all the puke teams. Hopefully they can upset ND or VT.

If Pitt cannot win 10 games this year with that schedule, they should be embarrassed. The conference lost Vatech, Miami, and BC and Pitt couldn't win the conference. They lose WVU leaving Pitt with a bunch of Conference USA junk, former Division II schools, and a schedule with OOC games of Gardner Webb, Youngstown State, and Buffalo. That is one of the softest schedules I have seen in some time.

abpk- I, like you, thought the "a white wide receiver" comment was , although true, unnecessary. If I had said something like that about a Bishop McCort Catholic High School receiver, well, you know where that would have gone, the BIG R would have been painted all over this board, etc., etc. White wide receivers do have a place in football, believe it or not. Off the top of my head, names like Hutson, Berry, Maynard, Alworth, Biletnikoff, and newer ones like Welker, Austin, Clark, etc. It's not a position exclusively for well tanned folk. Please pardon the description.

I just do not appreciate any type of racial profiling. My personal opinion is that if people do not see everyone the same on all aspects of life, then they show signs of being uneducated. If you look at history, all races have had success in all areas.

abpk- contrary to "popular" belief by some on this board, I agree with you. Really. It just seems whenever a certain local private? school is mentioned, some of us cannot mention certain players without being painted with a scarlet R. Highly biased on their part. Esp. when some of us are the true minority, what some call a wasp. But I guess thats OK.

How important is the Magic Bus tour? According to an online article May 2, 2012, last year PSU attendance decreased by 3,000 per game, causing Beaver Stadium to only be filled to 95.17% capacity. This despite a huge sell-out vs Alabama early in the season. The article entitled "Lagging Football Ticket Sales" states that presently, ticket sales for 2012 are lagging behind those of 2011. This was even BEFORE the Sandusky Scandal late in the season. What gives?
