My post wasn't about Penn State. I'm demonstrating how important another punter can be. The only example I knew of was Fera.

Mldy, Fera didn't miss just the game against the Sycamores. I know he missed at least 3 or 4 games.

Thank you jd. That proves my point even BETTER. Missing 4 games shows even more why another punter is necessary.

Pitt has a 10th commitment as Tyrique Jarrett made the call. He was a 2012 commitment that failed to qualify. He is a 6-4 300+ giant Defensive Tackle from Pittsburgh and is currently in Prep School. He is a good talent at a position of need. Not shocking he chose Pitt

Pitt has just secured their 11th commitment as 4 star Quarterback Tra'von Chapman picked the Panthers over Cincinnati and Wisconsin. Chapman is 6-2 with 4.5 speed, and will help improve the Pitt Qb situation for the future. Pitt has Voytik in the fold, and now Chapman. Former Rutgers QB Tom Savage will have one year of eligibility next year and 2014 Blackhawk Quarterback Chandler Kincade is already committed.

Chryst is drawing some unwarranted criticism from some delussional fans, still with Chapman,Clement, and Orndoff he has three very good recruits to date and some other needs being filled with lesser known guys.

Are Foster and Boyd possibilities? Absolutely, but the season should open up some more recruiting lanes.

I'm happy with Chryst to date, and Chapman is a very good prospect.

Chapman is a 4 star and the 20th rated player from Ohio. Held offers from Arizona,Boston College,Cincinnati, Illinois,Minnesota,Northwestern, and Wisconsin. He is a 4 star and 15th ranked QB on Scout.
Strong arm, good speed.

Pitt gets number 12 also, Carson Baker 6-5 315 OLinemen from Ohio. No offers. Chryst has a good pedigree shaping linemen, 6-5 315 is a good way to start.

Pitt is set with QB's,RB's, and TE's for a few years. They need receivers, both lines, a few Backers, and maybe one more defensive back.

How fitting for this kid to be part of Pitt's recruiting class. I think Pitt should refer to this as the Blewit Class. This Jersey will be a classic and fitting for most Pitt fans to wear!

The name is priceless, I'm sure he will blow a big game in 3 years with a BCS on the line.

Janocko the holder from the Cincy game has been cursed quite a few times in my house.

Back to recruiting....Pitt is in the "final 13" for Derrick Green the number one rated Back in the country. I guess trimming the list to 13 is somewhat relevant, because I think he had 100 offers. It would be a long shot to land him, especially with Shell and Clement in the fold. BUT he is visiting Pitt in the next week or so...So it can't be horrible. He eliminated Arkansas,Penn State,South Carolina, USC,Wisconsin, and WVU recently.

I'd say the favorites to land him are Alabama or Va Tech.

Crimson if he blows a game with the BCS on the line for Pitt he will be lucky. The ACC isn't a great conference, but Pitt couldn't make it while in the Big East. I would bet he will blow their chances for the Ortega Taco bowl and end up in the Family Dollar bowl in Birmingham, Alabama
