I see that I had a typo, it is the Lion VARSITY (not "Valley") Duals. Also a JV tournament will be held in the wrestling room, so I don't think that it is for elementary.

From team standpoint , same old same old.
1. West Branch
2.Mount Union
3.Huntingdon
These 3 should seperate from field... Probably 6-8 teams have legit shot at making dist duals

I heard rumors about Gabriel transferring but they are just rumors.

One of my biggest interests this year will be CR's involvement in the Powerade Tournament. That is one of THE best tournaments in the country. It feels very similar to Bedford going to the KOM after their run in the PIAA tourney a few years ago. Realistically, I think only a few will be contenders to place. Buttry is the only CR kid i feel very confident in coming home with some Powerade hardware. I hope that im proved wrong though. I love it when a little D-5 school shows up on the big stage and does really well.

CR is the frontrunner for D-5. Bedford has some really good individual talent (Gabriel, Easter, Thomas, Brett) but not enough depth to challenge for the D-5 duals.
CR is also wrestling at ultimate duals in brookville this year. Real tough dual tournament. Powerade is insane tough looks to be a little above KOM

Oh I def. agree powerade is a bit tougher then KOM. I think CR will do better in the Duals compared to Powerade. CR is an amazing dual meet team.

I agree with CaptainAmerica, Chestnut Ridge is A LOT better dual meet wise. When it comes to dual meets, Chestnut Ridge has a lot more depth than other teams!

In district 6 for Central, look for 10th grader Jordon Querello, 11th graders Kale Burkett, Nick Hoenstine, and Mike Mock.

I look for United's Tyler Oliver to make it to states this year and to potentially medal. The Lions could have a big impact at Districts and Regionals this year. The end of their line-up will be tough, if they can get anything out of the lower/middle weights they could be tough to beat.

Dec 17th United vs. Blairsville will be a big early season dual. Curious to see if we get to see Oliver and Thompson go at it.

Hwt Andrew Deitman made waves last year as a sophomore, he seems poised to take the next step. At 220 Seth McLenden (Penn Cambria transfer) will be tough. Tyler Mack has added a lot of good weight, curious to see where he goes weight wise. Anthony Michaels (junior), Warren Lowther (junior), Brent Mack (sophomore), Devin Walker (junior) and Grant Ingalls (junior) are also returning starters. They will be adding two sophomores Caleb Bracken and Kolt Jarvis who won a lot of matches in junior high.

The Lions had to forfeit several matches early last year that they had won, due to a mix-up with the hydration numbers. They should have been a .500 squad and they were very young, also they forfeited the first three weights at most of their matches this year those slots should be filled.

Scott Thompson and Drew Doak will obviously be tough in the Heritage Conference and the state level. I look for Crook from Marion Center to have a big year as well.
