Homer Center vs Penns Manor: Heritage Championship game
Re: Homer Center vs Penns Manor: Heritage Championship game
"Either way beitel lost that game for his team. Bloom has height and skill. It shouldn't of taken to the second half for him to get his 2nd catch. Maybe he'll his lesson. Next week I will be watching to see if he did. Idk how homer can cover bloom"
"I will say beitel lost the game for ligonier. A good 6-8 receiver and you don't make him your main option til the second half. Lv may beat Homer if they can't stop that amazing individual and a good qb"
Your words...not mine

And I stand by. Bloom wasn't a target until 2nd half of lv vs pm. Watch how he was consistently double covered and still making catches and getting TDs. To not pass to him earlier is all on beitel. As well as 0 bloom touches on the final meaningful drive against hc. That's on coach.
Re: Homer Center vs Penns Manor: Heritage Championship game
Once again, you are wrong. Beitel has very little control over WHO his QB actually throws the ball to on any given play. Sure he can tell his QB..."hey, how about lookin Bloom's way more often" but how do you or I know that he doesn't already do that? You would have a valid point if LV would have only thrown the ball 10-15 times in those games. I am not disagreeing with you that Bloom should have been targeted more often; however, the fault mainly lies with Fennel...not Beitel. Do you honestly think that Beitel is telling his QB, or calling plays for that matter, that don't involve Bloom as one of his primary targets? And I am not a Roger Beitel fan by the way!!

With roger beitel I have no idea what goes through his head... He acts as if he's a NFL coach sometimes
in a high school game. Watching the penns manor game fennel targeted bloom about 90% second half to major success. Either fennel or beitel wasn't targeting bloom enough. Whoever that may be bears the blame of 1 loss against pm.

So konjo78, with your theory of LV should go undefeated every year because they are a "bigger school" and since they don't go undefeated means Beitel isn't a good coach would mean that Johnstown and Somerset coaches are not good coaches either. I mean AAA against AA and A schools! What about the Bishops then? They recruit players and they don't go undefeated every year. In your eyes, there coaches must be down right awful. I just don't understand all the hate from you towards Beitel. Do you know him? How many kids graduated from Ligonier in 2013?

Yes Johnstown should have a winning record every year, and somerset too. Ligonier and Laurel valley had some of the top teams right before they joined. And they've one only 1 hc title since then. And 1 playoff victory. If they played against even competition with numbers they'd be 3-7 at best. If jerry page coached these teams he would of not lost a conference game.
Re: Homer Center vs Penns Manor: Heritage Championship game
How many HC Campionships did Laurel Valley ever win? That's correct...zero. Since the merger Ligonier is 27-4 in the conference. 3 losses to PM and one to HC. Both of those teams were and are very good football teams as we speak. This is Homers year. They've been preparing for this season for 3 years now. Honestly, this was expected to be an average year for LV with all the underclassmen that see significant time. Just enjoy your game this Friday and hope you don't play the Bishops in the playoffs, that hasn't played out too well for the Comets in the last few years even when they had Ferens.

27-4 in an all A conference. If they were in lhac like they wanted to be at one point theyd b lucky to have 10 wins in those years. And the bishops are good teams I'll be happy to play them anytime.

When PM plays the bishops they should be allowed to pick up players from Indiana, HC, Blairsville, PL, and NC. That would make it even.spike98 wrote:How many HC Campionships did Laurel Valley ever win? That's correct...zero. Since the merger Ligonier is 27-4 in the conference. 3 losses to PM and one to HC.
