Pitt's result yesterday had no bearing on their tournament status, they were in going into yesterday. That win only validates, and improves their seeding.

Tough break for Pitt yesterday. Robinson got the steal and layup, drew ALOT of contact, no call. Would have tied the game, but Pitt lost by 3.

Personally I think Pitt is good enough to be a 7 seed, but it looks like an 8/9 game.

Tough draw...I think they get by Colorado but then it's lights out vs the Gators!
You play to win the game!!!

The only 1 seed that can breath easy tonight is virginia. Pitt, Ok State and kentucky for a second round opponent is a nightmare for any coach.... Heck all three of those teams played to the last possession in regulation against a 1 or 2 seed in the tourney this past week.

Florida is a susceptible #1 overall seed, and here's why.

They almost mirror Pitt's #1 seed from 2011. They are senior heavy, and don't have that "NBA go-to-guy" that everyone says you need to have this time of year. No Wiggins, McDermott, or Jabari...Just a group of experienced players like Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna. I think Pitt can hang with them, Pitt doesn't really get blown out, but playing Florida in Orlando with a pro Gator crowd is a tough task. I don't think Pitt will beat Florida, but could hang with them.

Florida is balanced, and smart and Billy Donovan is easily one of the best coaches in the country, with two championships under his belt.

Pitt needs Lamar to play smart, Talib to play like he did in Greensboro, and need everyone else to be productive.

First problem is obviously Colorado, and they can very well beat Pitt. They are the 8 seed, it's supposed to be close. Colorado squeaked by a bad USC team last week, narrowly beat Cal the next day, and got worked by Arizona. Pitt is obviously playing better with their win over UNC, and battle with UVA.

Moldy....I was listening to the Fan in Pittsburgh yesterday. They were talking about next years Pitt team and said due to the fact Pitt oversigned in it's recruiting class this year that one of the players (Chris Jones) would have to leave the school and transfer somewhere else next year to play. Isn't this what you called Chambers from PSU out for?
